I am trying to invoke pub.schema:validate where I pass in a record structure NAME and the data I want to validate.

I have had a similar problem wM IS 6.0.1. when I was changing some field names in a document that had some mappings. Turned out that the so called missing fields still have been in the XML document that described the wM document. But developer did not show them anymore. Finally had to recreate the document. Check with some XML tool directly if you find the old fields still in the XML structure of your document.
