Propensity score matching on SPSS version 27.0

  • 1.  Propensity score matching on SPSS version 27.0

    Posted 11/10/20 07:06 AM

    Hi there,

    I have downloaded (on mac) the R plug-in with an aim to use propensity score matching using R. However when I try to install the PSMmatching.spe file, it says "Propensity_Score_Matching cannot be installed because it does not have a valid syntax template."

    I would appreciate your help.

    Although this extension is not from IBM, I have fixed this problem in it. Get the updated version from here

    Hello, I encountered the same installation problem. The link you had shared expired. Could you please send it again?

    Thank you. I have downloaded it and tried to install as an extension bundle, and I get this message:

    Error saving dialog specification. You must have write permission to the deployment directory.

    1. Cannot write to file: /private/var/folders/w7/1cd7f4k16_bgzn36dqywgdqh0000gp/T/spss92679/_uibuilder4463070142044545083.tmp/C:\Users\jkpec\AppData\Local\Temp\spss14092\_uibuilder6994513483050285914.tmp\matchit3.png.

    How do I resolve this?

    Try starting Statistics in administrator mode before doing the install.

    That is a weird file location. But try this.

    Create two environment variables that name new folders where you know you have write permission. Point to the folders in the environment variables like this (using appropriate Mac names).

    SPSS_CDIALOGS_PATH=c:\dlgs

    SPSS_EXTENSIONS_PATH=C:\extcommon

    Start or restart Statistics and try the install.

    Consult a Mac person how to create environment variables if you don't know how to do that.
