We are currently in the process of fine-tuning our BPM process engine and there is some topic that I just can’t find more information in the documentation.

Facts:
We are running our BPM in a clustered environment, 6 servers on the Broker backbone
We will have to process close to 50k instance in a 20 mins period. Our design has close to 20 steps inside the BPM. Our design is base on the facts that an instance will become as sleeping until further evens awakes-it.
We are dealing with large documents between steps.

Questions:
I’m looking at the Cache Cleanup Interval & Maximum Cache Buffer Size. (The default is 120/1000.)

For the maximum Cache Buffer Size we are talking about “Instance Complete Events”

1. Can someone explain to me in more details what exactly are those “Instance Complete Events” ?
2. Would you have any suggestions for those numbers
