    Hi All,
I am having trouble with installing the eclipse plug-in for the portlet development environment on eclipse. I get a cannot access URL error when I try the steps in the documentation and in the details section I get Unable to access http://xxxxxxxx:xxxxx/portletDeveloper3/.
Error parsing site stream. [The XML stream is not a valid default “site.xml” file. The root tag is not site.]
Error parsing site stream. [The XML stream is not a valid default “site.xml” file. The root tag is not site.]
I was also wondering if anyone had documentation/steps to follow on portlet developing on MWS 7.0. We have MWS 7.0 installed. And I am trying to connect from eclipse V3.0,JDK 1.4.2. Let me know if you need more details.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

    Ken

Probable cause is that the url for the plug in is wrong… can you access the url in explorer or firefox? If so, you should see a xml detailing the plugin files and stuff… compare the xml with any other eclipse update url > xml that you can access…
