I am using the WTX 8.1.0.2 and I also have problem with the importer. In my case I've never been able to import neither XSD nor DTD files with that version. In such case, in order to create my type tree, I have to use an older 8.1.0.1 which is not a "stable" version but at least the importer works correctly.
