  • 1.  Presenting Wi-Fi Control in COSU/Kiosk

    Posted Mon February 22, 2021 12:06 PM
    Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to present access to Wi-Fi Settings in a kiosk mode on a fleet of Samsung Galaxy A20e.

I can present the System Settings but don't really want the end user being able to do anything else.

I know I can lock down access to things like Wallpaper and themes etc. but really don't want them fiddling about with the lock screen settings, Apps or Google settings.

Can the Connections part of Settings be isolated and presented on its own or is there an app for Wi-Fi anyone could recommend?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes Bryn it can be done:
In the MDM Policy go to Android Enterprise Settings - COSU - Customise Kiosk Launcher Settings - System Apps/Settings to be whitelisted - WiFi Settings

    Best regards, Eric Bos

if you do that you have the Problem that the Client can add and Access new hotspots - that you dont´want for a KIOSK Mode device!

Thanks for the advice gents it is much appreciated.

This does fit with what I'm trying to achieve, these devices will be going out to patients homes, they need to be able to attach to their home Wi-Fi.

As this is a trial project the devices will be moved around so I do not have/it's not possible to provide me with a list of SSID credentials I could populate in the policy.
