  • 1.  PowerVC 1.4.4 + AIX Cloud-init version?

    Hello!

    Updated my AIX7.2 image to AIX72TL5SP1 + cloud-init (from AIX toolbox) to version :cloud-init.ppc 0:0.7.5-4.3    

    > After that cloud-init did not run at all after deployment...Then I tried downgrade to cloud-init.ppc 0:0.7.5-4.2 

    > Worked fine again...Anyone else experiencing the same issues?

    Or any recommendations which cloud-init to be used with AIX images (AIX 7.1 & 7.2)

    I'm successfully using the following:

    # rpm -q cloud-init
    cloud-init-0.7.5-4.3.ppc

    on:

    # oslevel -s
    7200-04-00-0000

    Might be some conflict then with TL5 & newest cloud-init...

    Needs to test more@some point when time available..

    Hi Tommi, yes, that's likely the problem, something introduced in TL5.  I'll let you know if I get a chance to upgrade my AIX image to TL5 and do some testing.

    Hi Tommi, we have updated our AIX image to TL5 and the cloud init version that you have pb with, works fine for us. We are using it in prod already.

    $ rpm -q cloud-init
    cloud-init-0.7.5-4.3.ppc
    $ oslevel -s
    7200-05-01-2038
