    Based on the 780 and 880 I would guess 8 years for the 980 or an EOS in 2026. 

    Nothing announced yet.

    Hello Nehal, 

    Nothing confirmed yet, but usually 6 months after the scale-out servers we get EoSS of the midrange and high-end servers as well. 

    So scale-out are EoSS on 31-Jan-2026, expect midrange and high-end to be EoSS by mid 2026.

    Keep in mind that IBM generally promises 1 years notice prior to EOS.  Darned unlikely that's going to be on your Christmas card.  Which means you'll likely have support for the E950/E980 (and some models of the 9009) into 2027.  See https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/lifecycle/
