  • 1.  Port Conflict error

    Posted Mon June 01, 2015 07:10 PM
    I am getting a

CoreStackMemb E   HMGR0031E: A conflicting IP address and port has been detected for the DCS_UNICAST_ADDRESS end point. [Cell01\Node04\nodeagent, Cell01\Node04\JVM04] members are configured to use the IP address and port combination of x.x.x.x::9354

    Things I have checked

    1) made sure same port is not being used for both the servers in question.
    2) made sure multiple entries in the /etc/hosts file are removed.
    3) Did a manual grep on the websphere directory to makesure its not listed anywhere.
    4) Did an lsof to check for the port and did not find any multiple entries.
    5) Rebooted the physical servers.
    6) Perfomed a mnual synchronisation

This error is looged in all the members of the cell, regardless if both the servers in question are started or not. But I am albe to start all the servers even though that error is thrown.

I am missing anything, I just want to get rid of this error. I am on WAS 6.1, so cannot work on a PMR.

    Thanks in Advnace all !

Thanks Gabriel, I have already gone through the link and made sure that there are no duplicate entries in the host file.

I was able to resolve this issue by deleting are recreating the JVM that I had issues with.  I was just in luck to be able to delete the JVM

    Thanks,
