The input card we are attempting to use is defined by a custom variety of the ACORD schema. This schema is very large and I am running into performance issues when working with it.

Generating a type tree from the schema was relatively fast, but it takes 15-25 minutes to create an input card based on this type tree, as well as to copy the card over to another map. Has anyone else experienced this issue while working with large schemas? If so do you have any suggestions?

I am running WTX Design Studio on a VMware image with 4 cores and 4GB ram running Windows Server 2003 for the OS. Very little else is being done on this machine at this time.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Rick

What is the size of your input?
Have you got tracing switched on or off? (If it is on, what is the size of the generated file.)
Are you working in memory or using files?
