  • 1.  Please wait while the application is loading

    Posted Tue March 09, 2021 11:28 AM

    Hi All,

I get the message "Please wait while the application is loading" when I now login to my QRadar CE box, after a couple of minutes waiting it then comes up with "Connection Terminated.  The connect with the console has been lost, either due to a system restart or network issue.  Please wait for the connection to restore".

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can resolve this?

    Thanks,

    Phil.

    Phil
first pls make sure you have license fix Applied, pls read at https://community.ibm.com/community/user/security/blogs/ralph-belfiore1/2021/01/30/waiting-for-a-valid-license-issue-important-to-kno?CommunityKey=f9ea5420-0984-4345-ba7a-d93b4e2d4864&tab=recentcommunityblogsdashboard
you may have to reapply it if patch is not installed yet.
then pls check if your Backend CMS can be reached through tomcat. Use systemctl to find out about status. Check if Rest API calls via curl can pull info from Ariel database. Also make sure browser cache has been emptied.

    Hi @Karl Jaeger

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I haven't had time to investiage the lab.

I have checked and it would seem that the patch is applied (when I run "grep -i valid /var/log/qradar.log"  nothing is displayed so this is the reason I believe the patch is applied.

    TomCat is running.

I have run the following command:  /opt/qradar/upgrade/util/setup/upgrades/wait_for_start.sh      and out of 13 processes only 5 are running (please see screenshot of what I mean)

Any further assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly received.

    Kind regards,

    Phil Freeman.

    Hi Phil,

Please make sure that your disk volumes have sufficient free space with df -h.

    Hi @Phil Freeman
your valid log test is just fine. As you are just seeing 5 processes only, @Halil BALIM may be right claiming that you have got a resource problem. CE can be tricky depending on what you have got. Besides well known disk problem , CPU and memory are just as important. My CE reference install does have
4 vCPUs, 24 GB memory and 250 GB disk running on top of an ESXi box.
Regarding processes desperately needed wait command looks like screenshot below in my environment with apps sucessfully installed.
As CE is running with a small footprint this is sufficient for testing. Would be interested to know if your screenshot is from CE or a full blown installation. You can use the support command wait_for_managed.sh as an alternative. Another important prerequisite is, that you can login into psql from CLI and not seeing "to man clients already" message. In desperate situations a reboot of your CE might be necessary.
