    I unstalled 8.0.1 without uninstalling 7.5.1. The 7.5.1 Event Server is stopped. The map was re-compiled in 8.0.1, and was runnig fine until the server was rebooted.

    After the server reboot over the weekend we discovered that the map running under Event Server 8.0.1 is not processing incoming messages, though Event Server appeared to be running. I had to restart Event Server, and the map started working normally. There was no indication of hanging maps (no *.tmp files in the map directory).

    Would appreciate recommendations.

    What platform are you using?
    What type of messages?
    Do you have a heartbeat map? You should get a Management Console snapshot and Event Server Monitor tool snapshot when these type issues occur.
