Hi,

I am working with an existing report (dashboard) that has some pie charts with the same properties set except for the queries.
The slices of the pie in all charts represent the same column (data item).

For example: If there are four pie charts,  then all of them have the same 'Indicator' as the query item representing the pie slices where the indicator has values like 'Completed', 'Incomplete', 'Stuck'.
The issue is that a couple of the charts out of all have different colors for the legend values ('Completed', 'Incomplete', .......). 

In other words, the color is not consistent among  all the pie charts in the dashboard when it comes to the legend values/slices of pie even though the properties set are the same for all the charts. This is urgent for me so please suggest.

Hi Mack,
when you write that the different pie charts have different queries but the same data, does it mean you have individual charts each linked to its own query? Are all categories for the legend present in each chart in the same order? You could check the sort options for that.
If you have individual charts, Cognos will always link the palette colours individually to the category items. I only know a property in dashboards for colour consistency.

You may try to set the order for the legend items in all charts the same way, disable zero-suppression for the categories so all appear in the charts. If applicable you can also try to build just one chart inside of a repeater table and use master-detail relationships.

Hi Robert,

Yes, these are individual pie charts linked to different queries. I checked the sort order of chart node member and it is the same in all the charts.
Since I did not find any fault with the above, I tried replacing the other charts with the one that had  the legend colors correct and repointing the new copies to the original queries. Now, though the colors worked (consistency), the drill through connections are not working correct now. All the charts are now displaying the same drill through output that the first chart alone should display.

Hello,

When you insert the visualization choose Charts then Pie Chart. That pie chart allows for a conditional palette.
