OS - AIX 6.1 -> PHP Version & Libiconv installed RPM details is given below ( both were installed from IBM Linux Toolbox site.)

What is the charset conversion PHP is trying to do ?  Whether the charset available in your machine ?

PHP is built using AIX base iconv (Not libiconv rpm) which is old. The conversion error seems to be because of this. We will fix this in the next release.

There is no code changes as such. The fix is to build PHP with libiconv rpm. Right now, it is built against AIX base libiconv.

but its not detailed and not sure is work with out AIX RPM pacakge.
