  • 1.  Perspectives and PAfE Both Enabled in Excel

    Hi, I am considering to keep TM1 Perspectives addin (from 2.0.8 install) and PAfE (v55) both enabled in Excel when we deploy to end users.
    Is there any disadvantage for doing so or any problem you are aware when using any of them in Excel? Thanks.

    Our experience has been that this doesn't work, when you try and slice a Perspectives cube view into Excel with Pafe loaded the Excel session becomes locked with crashing out the only remedy.

    Thanks. I have noticed that issue before. When I have both addin enabled in Excel and try to snapshot/slice from cube viewer into Excel, the Excel session became blocked and never came back. Interestingly, when I tested again today, the issue seems to be gone. Not sure IBM has fixed or not. That's why I want to comfirm here.

    Hi, 

    I have been able to make it work for my users (including all Perspectives and PAfE functionalities).

    It should perfectly work as soon as you respect the following:
    a) You must first install Perspectives and then PAfE
    b) Never have both Add-ins enabled at the same time (disable "IBM Framework for Office" COM Add-In before using Perspectives)

    Thanks, as I said to Steven, with the versions I mentioned above, seems that the two addins now work nicely together in Excel now. And yes, I installed Perspectives first.
