We are working on introducing Persona based reporting and are in the very early stages. We have the personas agreed and built the new Landing page, using HTML boxes. We now need to link the reports to the various Personas and have found that some of the reports need to be built in our BoIT module. My question is, is it possible to have the Landing Page in CT which has a link to a report in BoIT?

Yes, you can do this - in the HTML editor, use the <a href="xxxxxx"> function where xxxxxx is the URL of the report you want to link to in BoIT.

Example:

<a href="https ://acme.apptio.com/#report:prd:-@ Cacme.com%253ABill+of+IT/Reports/.DateGoesHere/CostModels/Default/.View%253Atab%253ABill+of+IT"> 

Note that it will go through the whole login process when switching applications so this works best when SSO is enabled in your organisation.

You can do it the way these guys have mentioned in HTML, but you can also do this in a button if you'd like to keep everything looking nice  in the button actions 'Navigate' field, put "//Other Project Name/" and it should take you to the other project! This can then be combined with report names after the last slash to navigate to the project and the report specifically.

We use buttons a lot on our landing page so wanted to keep the look consistent to users but also wanted to link to another project.

Agree with @Mark Salib -- we used a similar approach, to build a link to IT Planning from our CT landing page.
