    Performance tuning relies heavily on what you are trying to accomplish and how you use IS.

    • GEAR is one point to start.
    • You need to understand, how IS works and what you are doing with it, then you can determine what you need to do
    • In the advanced SAG classes perofrmance tuning is covered.
    • You may need to consult professional services if you need to go for maximal performance

    Yes you should start with:

    • GEAR documentation must to review
    • You need to understand, how IS works and its proper configuration (OS,DB),what you are doing with it, then you can determine what you need to do to tune the performance/thorough put etc…
