    Hello ,

any one configured SEA over PCI-100G?

what is the recommendation with PCI-100G using SR-IOV instead of SEA?

    Thank you

    SEA SRIOV VNIC and HNV

    Hello,

In Kyndryl we have deployed and are managing big SAP environments with power 9 / 10 for SAP HANA using AIX / Suse with big Lpars.

We have deployed SEA (on 10G) and VNIC on (10G/25G/100G) on many VIOS/LPAR to maintain the LPM capabilities, for us HNV exists but is too complex.

SR-IOV (including vnic/hnv) are very useful to balance network IRQ between system cores at lpar level.

Not to reinvent the wheel please find very interesting documents around SEA SRIOV VNIC and HNV

Hope this will help you. @Kyndryl AIX Team
