Addendum:
thanks to help of my team mates, I finally found this limitation being officially documented in IBM Docs > Software feature limits:
(Policy-based replication for disaster recovery (DR)|Policy-based high availability (HA)):
Requires 32GB memory per node. Supported if Data Reduction Pools (DRP) are not used

Subject: PBR on FS5045 with a DRP pool
Hi Adrian,
the best piece of information I found concerning an existing limitation of using PBR in combination with DRP on a FlashSystem 5045 is Evelyn's post from last year in this community thread:
[…]
3: The 5045 in 8.7.0 supports PBR AND PBHA provided you haven't configured DRP […]

Subject: PBR on FS5045 with a DRP pool
We have a partnership between a FS5200 running 8.6.0.5 with a thin pool with FCM drives (primary) and a FS5045 running 8.7.0.2 with a DRP pool (DR). On this partnership we have multiple remote copy relationships which are running fine. I've enabled policy-based replication for this partnership and I want to switch from RC to PBR. However, it seems that PBR is not working for FS5045 with a DRP pool . On FS5045 I have a warning on the PBR tab : "the system supports policy-based replication functionality on if data reduction pools are not in use". Also , when I try to create a Replication policy, I'm getting an internal error.
I couldn't anything about this restriction in your official docs.
Do you know more about this ? Is it a software restriction which can be removed in the next sw releases or it's a hardware restriction for FS5045 ?
