For an on-prem implementation, is there any other way to create high availability for PA Workspace other than using the distributed install on OpenShift? 

I've considered using scheduled back-up and restore scripts to a "warm" standby server, which isn't true HA, but looking for other, more robust options.

OpenShift deployment is the only option IBM provides for high availability.  I have seen Planning Analytics deployments that use a standby server with scripted automation that uses the backup and restore scripts to migrate content. 

The product roadmap includes brining the backup and restore capability into the Workspace environment management.  This should allow us to support backup and restore of Workspace environments without stopping services.
