In an ideal world, image URLs (to wider web or File Manager) stored as attributes would be sufficient as the image widget would synchronise with the production dimension as the data would/ does. Easy words to say likely less so to implement.
We are also looking at similar workarounds for automated burst reporting from PA and this post confirms that I need to submit better Ideas to the portal with more detail (rather than just ask for Workspace APIs which could potentially solve all these challenges)

Subject: PAW - dynamic images
For one of our customers, we implemented dynamic image display without using a standard Image Widget. Instead, we embedded a web page directly within PAW, backed by a Python service that handles image rendering. Image URLs are stored as an attribute on the product dimension and displayed against each product in the row set. The solution performs excellently and also supports write-back to the TM1 cube - making it a compelling option for retail customers who need product images surfaced alongside their data.

Subject: PAW - dynamic images
Hi All,
Is there any way to dynamically change an image URL in Image widget in PAW book?
Let's say I have a PAW book with Selector and Image, I store URLs as the dimension attribute, when I click on the element in the Selector I would like to pass the URL to the Image widget.
TM1Web allows it but I could not find the way to do it in PAW.
Thank you,
Katerina
