Once you synchronise a filter to either the rows or columns, it will overwrite what you have (in terms of MDX) with what you have selected in the filter. Annoying, right?
If you use picklist filters (using MDX in that subset to control what you see), you no longer need to synchronise the dimension and can achieve the above.
There is help online for how this can be achieved. Let me know if you're unable to find and I'll attempt to dig something out.

Subject: PAW Dashboard - Calculated Column - How to Keep it
Hi Everyone,
I am building dashboard in PAW and I created calculated column for growth rate (current vs previous period). But once I change 'Period' Dim members calculated growth column disappears. Any idea how I can make so that calculated column stays and it updates accordingly once I change periods ..
For example, initially I set 2 periods 10-2020 & 10-2021 for comparison, and created Growth column. But once I change periods to for example 09-2020 & 09-2021 - annual growth column disappears.. Any help is appreciated. Please see visual below.. Thank you!
