I have a MCA userid WS_MQ_Channel, is there a way to show the current password for that id, cannot find it, and it is recommended to change it periodically. Why I ask our security team wants to roll that into a password vault that will change it every so often, so is that something that is also recommended?

There is no password as such for a channel.
When the MCAUSER parameter is set to a userid, MQ operations (MQPut, MQGet, etc.) are performed under this userid.
This userid does not require a password.
In installations where the security configuration is weak, you'll often find 'mqm' in the MCAUSER parameter, but this account doesn't normally have a password.
(And specifying mqm in the MCAUSER parameter is a very bad idea from a security point of view).
