I just got a question from my IT department regarding the signature and certificate of PAfE.

We are currently running PAfE on 2.0.87 and I checked the file which shows the certificate is valid from 1/4/2023 till 6/15/2024.

Since we are in the middle of May and I'm not sure what will happen when the certificate isn't valid anymore, I thought I will check a newer PAfE version and we can upgrade in time.

I was surprised that in the newest version 2.0.95 has the same certificate with the same date:

What will happen when the certificate isn't valid anymore in the middle of next month?

Will the next release .96 got the same certificate again or with adjusted dates?

Hi Thilo,

IBM Support has fielded the same question via a Support Case. 

PAfE 96 has a new signature that expires in 2026. The signature not a concern for usage and is related to an internal date. This will not affect PAFE, the tool will not stop working after the mentioned date.
