Hello - our company has recently migrated to Cognos 11.0.11 and we're having a bit of trouble with our processing for updating and placing reports into an automated job. Currently we have "Production Reports" folder that is restricted to Admin Users only and is where we place reports that are ultimately scheduled in our report jobs. When we receive a request to update a report, we copy that report from the "Production Reports" folder and put it under our respective
My Content location where we update it, save it, and then send a copy off to the end user for their approval of the changes. Once approved then we copy the report back to it's respective location within the "Production Reports" folder and overwrite the existing copy which shares the same name.
In prior versions of Cognos the workflow I describe above worked just fine and no further action was needed. Now, however, after copying the report back into the "Production Folder" it's breaking the entry to the report within the Job schedule. So now we must remember to go into the job, locate the missing entry and re-link it to the updated report (of the same name and in the same location). I'm guessing that this is now normal/expected behavior under Cognos 11 but I wanted to check here as this has really hampered our traditional workflow process of updating reports.
Thank You!
