We set the IdleDB, Keepdb to low values right now and most of our connections are quick queries or inserts.

There are of course other considerations whn decidnign what Oracle build to use but just interested in the WTX interaction for now.

If it makes a difference its WTX8.3 on Wintel and Oracle 10gR2 on AIX

if so, you'd still need to restart the WTX Launcher, but you'd have to wait longer while the DB comes up before starting WTX.
