  • 1.  onsmsync issue question

    Guys:

    A client is trying to sync the onbar safety file and clean up sysutils with onsmsync . This message is printing in the onbar log repeatedly and the onsmsync has been running for nearly 12 hours already:

    2021-01-29 08:50:31 33591  24208 dsm_obj.c:658 dsmMakeObjectCursorList: No more records from object table.

    I have not seen this one before. Thoughts? Problem? Red herring? Stop onsmsync? Leave it run?

    Hi Art,

    Look in the logs for the storage manager.

    Increase BAR_DEBUG.

    Which storage manger, ?  http://old.iiug.org/forums/ids/index.cgi/noframes/read/38787 - psm? and Is the filesystem readonly?

    Hi,

    few years ago i had issues with onsmsync, it took very long time to execute.

    I had to create indexes on some tables but don't remember which ones.

    execution time was modified from hours to minutes.

    Probably running an sqltrace will help to find which indexes could be interesting if it is one of your problems

    Thanks, found the solution. I had to drop and rebuild the sysutils database, manually clean the ixbar file, then rebuild the table contents using onsmsync -b. For anyone searching the forum, here's a link describing the procedure:
