    Subscribing

    The mailing lists are still the primary way in which the Cassandra community holds discussions. There are a few lists worth noting, depending on your persona.

    • User Mailing list - For general questions, discussions, and announcements. If you're a Cassandra user, and want to discuss user problems and issues, then this is the list for you. Send an email to user-subscribe@cassandra.apache.org to join.
    • Developer Mailing list - For feature and bug fix discussions amongst contributors, committers, and PMC members. If you are contributing source code, or just want to be in-the-loop on the current development challenges, then you should join this list.  Send an email to dev-subscribe@cassandra.apache.org to join

    Unsubscribing

    There seems to be a lot of confusion around unsubscribing from one of these lists. To do so, you must send an email to either:

    Simply replying with "UNSUBSCRIBE" back to the mailing list WILL NOT WORK!
