  • 1.  non-dynamic policy

    Posted Fri January 13, 2023 12:10 AM
    Hi,

I'm getting this error after modifying and redeploying a policy project.

    BIP9328E
The policy project 'ABC' cannot be redeployed as the non-dynamic policy 'ABC_JDBC' differs or has been deleted from the policy project being deployed.

The only solution available is to delete all resources deployed on the IS which is causing us big issue. One IS contains lot of applications and just because of this one policy project change, we cannot redeploy all other applications again.

The management wants to know is there any other solution to fix this ? If not, is IBM working on this to modify this behavior ? or is IBM recommending one IS for one application ?

    Hi Kadhir

I don't know what version of ACE you are running, but since 12.0.3.0 you can redeploy policies without these issues.
If you deploy via the toolkit you should see an additional button in the progress information windows with the name "Deploy with restart".

If you deploy via commandline you have the additional option "--restart-all-applications" that you can specify

This option is available for both mqsideploy and ibmint commands

A third option is to simply drop the policies onto the run directory of your server and restart the integration server. This reloads all the policies and the applications.

On this page you can see the list of dynamic and non-dynamic policies: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/app-connect/12.0?topic=administration-policy-properties
