  • 1.  no external connectivity - ansible collection

    None of our AIX systems have external connectivity, using the IBM ansible collection, what options do I have to modify the existing pulldown of patches/files from our NIM server, instead of fetching them from IBM's ftp site?  Plan would be to manually download the updates to our main nim server nfs share

    Hi Mike,

    I talked about it at the last IBM TechXchange in Las Vegas. You can find the presentation with almost complete working Ansible code on the TechXchange community - https://community.ibm.com/community/user/viewdocument/2129-aix-patch-management?CommunityKey=8c64553a-86a9-4af3-a2e6-55826c69b4e2&tab=librarydocuments

    Anyway, you must bring the fixes from IBM's HTTPS site (there is no FTP anymore) to your NIM server. If you want to do it automated, you must have a server with an Internet connection.
