  • 1.  “no common ciphers” errors in the WebSphere logs

One of our development teams is seeing “no common ciphers” errors in the WebSphere logs for all of their test environments.  The problem is only showing up on their second server in the cluster, and not on the Dmgr node. I looked at all of the SSL configurations and could not see anything wrong with them. It appears to be happening about every 10 minutes, so I still have some investigating to do. I set up some SSL traces with my coworker and he could not see anything that was causing this either. My coworker suggested maybe trying to open a PMR once I get some time, but I figured I would try here first. The issue is not a show stopper, as none of the end users have complained about a problem with this in the U3C test environments, but I would still like a solution.

Are you seeing this error in node agent log? If so then the likely culprit is the node agent SSL setup.

If you are seeing this in the application server logs then which PORT/service? It might be an external program trying to connect to WAS.
