The analyser is written in Microsoft Visual Basic, so it is unlikely to be a Java problem.
The problem is more likely to be that Microsoft has updated Visual Basic, which is causing the issue.
Do you have a PC/Laptop running 5 year old OS and 5 year old Microsoft tools (Excel)?
As stated above, upgrade to njmon (in nimon mode) to send the data to InfluxDB and graphing with Grafana and all this goes away.
You can run the Open Source versions at zero cost. Does not even need much in CPU terms but do have a few 100GB of disk space i.e a laptop.
o At one TechU conference, I used a Raspberry Pi 3 for 12 people to learn Grafana at the same time.
With this setup, you get live monitoring and graph any time period you like in seconds and better-looking graphs and new graphs take a minute (once you master the Grafana tools).
All these nmon issues were fixed in 2018 - there are YouTube videos from me to get you started.
Once you have a Time-Series database, you will wonder why you did not start years ago.
You have probably spent more time banging your head on this "merge issue" than it would take to set up njmon+InfluxDB+Grafana.
Good luck, @mr_nmon

I've been using this tool for years, but now I can't get the merge function to work in Excel. It only shows me one day at a time. I've tried the latest versions mentioned on the site nmon_analyser_v69.zip , nmon_analyser_v66.zip and nmon_analyser_v65.zip. Could it be that I need to update my Java? Thanks.

1) Read the Microsoft Word document that comes with the nmon Analyser package. It includes some hints and tips for Excel Problems and Internationalization issues like character sets.
2) Use the latest nmon Analyser and latest Excel and then try again.
3) Note: There is no longer support now for the nmon Analyser - or at least no longer a volunteer from within IBM.
4) Does all your other nmon files have the same problem? If not, it strongly suggests that you have a duff nmon file.
5) Try using nmonchart instead. But note - if you have a duff nmon file then that too can fail.
- Duff will mean missing data like some columns or all lines of stats of a particular type or corruption so you have some mangled line formats.
Best of luck, Nigel @mr_nmon Griffiths
I am never going to debug the nmon Analyser (zero Excel debugging skill and indeed no interest in doing that)
but if you think your nmon file is good then you could email the nmon file to nigelargriffiths@hotmail.com
