    Dear community, dear Nigel,

    we have the need to collect the data with njmon and write it into a json file to upload it with filebeat against Elastic (Kafka => Logstash => and so on...) and on the same time, we want to have the data in a stream to njmond to influxDB.

    The data that goes to Elastic will be filtered out to a minimum by logstash, so we as admins want to use influxDB and Grafana for our purpose. 

    Is that possible? If yes, how???

    Hi Joerg,

    I am not Nigel, but I think it could be possible to do with Telegraf. It can take one stream of data and convert and send it to several destinations.

    Thanks Andrey. I didn't know that tool...
    I looked into it shortly, but it looks it is not supported for AIX and even more in the forum they recommend to use nmon / njmon

    The version for AIX you can find here. Not the latest one, but I hope it can do what you need. If you will need a newer version, let me know.

    I think Andrey has answer perfectly.

    njmon is fairly light weight in CPU cycles so you may consider running two copies to keep it simple i.e. KISS.
    telegraf can do the one input and two outputs for you and even the filtering (or so I am told, not tried that myself).

    Hello Nigel,

    many thanks for the answer and your opinion. We also considered to run njmon and nimon at the same time and it would be an option. Now we will start testing telegraf and check what the cpu / memory overhead is. In case of any questions, I would like to come back to you and / or Andrey.
