I've created a very simple Type Tree.  I have a Record Category and defined a Header and Detail Group under that.  When I want to associate a Component with one of the Groups is shows that drag and drop is disabled when I get over the Group window.   Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong or don't have setup correctly?

    Welcome to the community.

To have a component inside a Group, you double-click on the Group (and it opens in a new window) and you add it in there.

The hierarchical view is just that....a view.  It does not relate to the underlying data structures.

    I hope that helps you.

I enclose a simple Typetree file to illustrate my point.  You will note that 'File', 'NumberItem' and 'TextItem' are all children of 'root'.  Double-click on 'File' though, and you will see that 'File' has two components, each with a range of 1:1 - 'NumberItem' and 'TextItem' in that order.

If I have not fully answered your query, please post your incomplete Typetree here for review.

    Thank-you.

    Paul.
