When trying to add new user’s to an application with an email address ending in .org, we receive an error: ‘Invalid email address.’

We can add user’s with a state email address (state.mn.us) and with .com’s, but .org doesn’t work.

Is there anyone else having this issue?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dan,

please check with your email provider if they are blocking target addresses ending in “.org” intentionally.

Additionally have a look at the servers log files if there is a more detailed error message.

It was a permissions issue on the networks firewall on our end.

I was able to figure it out. For me it was the postfix configuration that was preventing messages from being relayed. I edited /etc/postfix/main.cnf to allow my network and my localhost to send mail.
