Thank you for the reply. Yes, I increased the timeout value on the NCA opening screen to 30 minutes. Still no luck. However, after about 5 tries at 30 minutes each, I finally got in. No other changes were made.
I will contact my fellow Sysprogs and have them check the zFS file system.

Keith, have you tried adjusting the timeout value on the NCA opening screen? Highlighted in the attached screenshot.
Also FYI, slow loading of backing stores is usually a function of how the zFS file system that it resides on is mounted. Something about how the Java server interacts with it. I'm not enough of an expert on zFS to give any more detail, but you might have your sysadmin or file expert look into that aspect.

In one of our environments, I am unable to access the Network Configuration Assistant (NCA) Backing Store. I get only time out messages.
Please offer some advice on how to troubleshoot this issue. Can you recommend a specific manually? Is there something to reset to fix the backing store yet not affect any other users of z/OSMF?
