  • 1.  Need to place image on report in Cognos 11.1.3

    HI all
    i need to place an image on report, while trying to do this, with image picker icon, system says, ( there were no images or folders returned for this request. This might be because WebDAV is not enabled for this location.)
    we have Cognos on AIX,
    How can we fix this

    You need to know exact path of image using this approach as browsing is disabled from this window.
    Other approach is to use IBM Sample Gallery Extension to show all available images.

    Excuse brevity as from mobile.

    Webdav needs special setup in apache/ihs to work. Firewalls and authproviders may also interfere as webdav is not http but webdav protocol.

    Review error msgs in gw. Your problem almost 100% certain is a gateway config problem.

    Hello Hashim. The best way is to use the MediaExtension. There is a good example "ExtensionMediaAll.zip". Here you can upload all images to the Cognos server and they will be available as image galleries.

    WebDAV Configuration is no longer necessary:


    Search for "SampleExtensionCustomMediaAll.zip"

    cognos/analytics/samples/extensions
    where you can find all extensions, than upload these into Cognos.
