The examples folders are located in \examples subdirectory under the Design Studio installation directory IF you selected that you wanted a "Custom" installation. For example: C:\IBM\WebSphere Transformation Extender 8.3\examples.

Examples are not installed as part of the standard installation. You must select Custom for the installation and check the box to install the examples.
