Both commands exist on AIX, not all the flags are the same. The one thing that is common too is that the man command exists on AIX :-)

If you don't have access to an AIX server, you can search on the AIX Information Center : http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/aix/v6r1/index.jsp

But the "flags" mentioned by me was not found in AIX ... Previously I should have menmtioned this point.... But I forgot to mention it... Sorry for the confusion... :(

Now I need the alternate command or switch in AIX which will give the same output as in Solaris for the commands "prtconf -F,prtconf -V, ifconfig -auD4"... Any idea ppl....?????
