  • 1.  my license code doesn't work

    Dear IBM,

    I just bought an authorisation code to renew my SPSS26 license. When I use the code in the authentication wizard, I first get the remark:

    DELETED

    * * * End Of Transaction. * * *

    Successfully processed all codes"

    So far, so good, but then:

    "Licensing completed

    You have successfully licensed your product

    Your license is effective the next time you start your product

    License information for IBM SPSS Statistics 26 installed in /Applications/IBM/SPSS/Statistics/26/SPSSStatistics.app/Contents/bin

    No licenses found for IBM SPSS Statistics 26."

    When I then close SPSS26 completely and restart, it prompts that there is no license

    could you help me?

    The lock code of your pc starts with 10, please change it to 4, as described below:

    If you have SPSS Statistics 27, just go directly to:

    /Applications/IBM SPSS Statistics 27/Resources/Activation/

    and then continue with point 4 below.

     

    1.Go to: /Applications/IBM/SPSS/Statistics/Number_of_your_version

    2.Right click on "SPSSStatistics.app" and choose "Show Package Contents"

    3.Go to Contents, then to bin folder

    4.Find echoid.dat and open it with TextEdit.app

    5.Change 0x010 to 0x004

    6.Save the echoid.dat file

    7.Delete lservrc file in this directory (if one exists, if not continue)

    8.Run the License Authorization Wizard of SPSS while your computer is connected to the Internet. Make sure you see a lock code that begins with 4- on the Wizard now. Use your 20 digits authorization code to activate the software

    9.Launch Statistics. The software should now start without errors

     

    If this does not help, please contact your vendor.

    If you use a student or gradpack version, or you have purchased the software from a vendor, please contact this vendor for licensing and installation support, as vendors want to check such problems with their customers themselves:
