  • 1.  My License Authorization Wizard does not launch, how to fix?

    I have bought the SPSS 27 program and installed it via the link my school has sent me. I have a license code, however I cannot type it anywhere since License Authorization Wizard does not even launch when I try to open it as Administrator. I saw that my lservrc file is also blank with only " " typed inside. How do I fix this, what is the problem?

    It's not easy to discern what the problem might be without some further details. You've stated that you have installed the program from a link given you by your university? What does that actually mean? Are you trying to run an installer over the internet via some web link? OR is this link only for downloading the software. Then after you have the installer local to you, you invoke it on MS Windows via right click and "Run as Administrator".

     

    As a first step, it is worth following up with your organization to find out

    • How specifically to use the link they gave you
    • What the image underlying that link actually is -- is it just the installer file downloaded from IBM? OR is it a customized package created by your university?
