Hi Community,
I cant wait, Techxchange 2025 kicks off in just 5 days! π I wanted to share a few tips I've learned over the years to help you make the most out of the week(seasoned pro feel free to share your tips as well):
1. Focus on Just One Goal
It's tempting to do it all, but the conference is big and full of awesome sessions. I've found it's best to set one main goal for myself. This year, mine is to get certified in AI-related topics. What's your one goal? Let me know below :)
2. Invest in Networking
I'll admit, I sometimes have the hardest time walking up to someone new and introducing myself. But here's the thing: every single person we know now was once a stranger. So, if you're like me, challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone, introduce yourself, and mingle.
If you opted in to have your LinkedIn profile printed on your badge, use that as an easy way to connect with the people you meet offline. You can even use it as a built-in icebreaker!
π Pro tip: Stop by the Professional Development booth to get a free professional headshot. It's the perfect chance to refresh your LinkedIn profile.
3. The App is Your Guide
Download and explore the conference app ahead of time. Build your agenda, give yourself time to walk between sessions, and mark the sessions that matter most to your goal. And don't stress about missing anything, session PDFs will be uploaded to the library for download later.
4. Stay Comfortable & Prepared
-
Shoes: You'll be walking a lot, comfort is key.
-
Sweater: Conference halls run cold, even if it's hot outside.
-
Light Packing: Keep it simple and practical.
5. Be Weather Ready
It looks like it will be raining all week in Orlando. You'll be indoors for most sessions, but if you're heading to Universal, pack shoes that can hold up in wet weather.
6. Hotel Hacks
Download your hotel's app (whichever one you are staying at). Many now offer mobile keys, which is a lifesaver if you're like me and tend to misplace the card key.
7. Hydrate & Refuel
Make a note of the water stations and food spots. Knowing where to go will save you time between back-to-back sessions.
8. Enjoy Yourself
Most of all, HAVE FUN! Learn, explore, and make memories. TechXchange isn't just about tech, it's about people, growth, and experiences.
Your Turn:
What's the one goal you're setting for yourself at TechXchange this year?
See you in 5 days!
P.S. Come say hi to the Community Team, we'll be hanging out in the Professional Development area!
