  • 1.  MWS has difficulties restoring ldap connection

    Hi,

    we’ve created a directory service to connect to LDAP, but when LDAP server goes down we notice that MWS has difficulties restoring the connecting. The service enabled drop down becomes disabled and a error message appears on top showing java.lang.NullPointerException

    Has anyone faced the same problem?

    The LDAP connection code doesn’t automatically restore its connection. I’ve filed an internal feature request on your behalf however. As far as the mysterious Null Pointer Exception in this situation, that has been replaced with a friendlier message that explains that the current directory service has been disabled. This is available in the upcoming 7.1.2 release.

    I think the best option for tracking this is to open a Service Request and reference this conversation as well as the Feature Request ID of ‘1-1UGIBV’
