We are doing an MWS upgrade from 8.2.2 to 9.12. We used the Database component configurator (with latest fixes) to get the product databases migrated via 9.8 to 9.12. Once the databases were migrated successfully, we installed a new MWS instance by pointing to the migrated database. MWS does not initialise. This is the exception:

2018-08-06 12:13:06 EDT (c.s.s.i.s.SamlManagedService:ERROR) [ManagedService Update Queue] - SamlManagedService cannot be started. Missing required properties.

What is going wrong with this approach?

did you run the migration utilitity “migrate.{bat|sh}” after updating the database components?
