Hi Jon,
Yes, I've tried all of these options, but none give the desired output.

For example, this is the output I get from the total for each x-axis category.
I would like it to show the percentage as identified from that cohort. For example, 100% of the student identified as students. So, I would like for that bar to reach to 100, in this example it is relative to the x-axis category. The closest I've gotten is with the response base but that only presented it as the percent relative to all the cohorts (i.e. only 41% was shown for students).
I have the x axis coded as the multiple response variable. Would I have to go about this in a completely different way?

Using the Chart Builder, you can choose the percentage base for the bars: grand total, total for each x-axis category, or total for each legend variable.

Subject: Multiple response Question among different cohorts using clustered bar chart
Hi,
I am trying to represent the response percentage of 3 different groups to a multiple response question. I've defined the response set but when I make a clustered bar chart the response percentage is representative of the percentages of responses in that cohort for an answer relative to the whole group (i.e. 100% of people in one cohort identified as a science student but the response percentage is only showing 40% and that cohort is 40% of the overall group number).
I am very stuck as to how to get around this. Any help much appreciated.
