I have a very difficult problem for me to solve.
I have to do a multiple regression between a group of independent variables and a dependent variable "y". my problem lies in the definition of independent variables. I'll explain:
the independent variable "x" must be divided into 3 subsets "x1" "x2" "x3", this division must be made on the basis of two other variables "z" and "k", that is, according to the value of z, k and x, the variable x is divided into the 3 subsets. finally, as I said at the beginning, I have to do the multiple regression between the independent variables x1, x2, x3 and the dependent variable y.
Is it possible to do such a thing?
