    It had been a while, and I was thinking that I could do a "merge" twice; once for 3040, then once again with 4010 by building the "industry subset" like normal. I deleted all the transactions except the 810 for the 3040 and merged into a new type tree. Did the same with the 4010, but when I click "merge", it doesn't take and I wind up with only the 3040 810 in the type tree.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    I merged on EDI>ANSI>V3040, then on EDI>ANSI>FG>Partner>Inbound and I now have a type tree with two FG, one 3040, one 4010.
