I'm trying to get the samples working in CA 11.1.
I've imported the sample deployment file and ensured that the import IDs are preserved as per the instructions, however the sample dashboards do not work.
It looks like the sample XLS and CSV data were not imported and i'm trying to update and replace them.
I've downloaded the sample data files and for each file when I replace the file with the newly downloaded file I get the error :
MSR-SMT-2190 Internal error trying to create smart metadata.
The import/replace process hangs for quite some time and then returns this error.
Any ideas ?

Both the deployment and uploading the samples should work fine. Have you opened a support case? We need to see the logs to figure out what might be going wrong.

I get the same errors when uploading new files. It doesn't matter if CSV or XLSX.

In our case, it must have been a missing right to write. We repeated the installation and made sure to have administrator rights everywhere.

After the new installation also the file upload works!

Hi Nick,
Just wondering which version of Samples deployment you imported to 11.1 environment? Please try not to preserve the import ID when importing Samples deployment. The best practice is to delete all the samples file from previous importing, then import the new one.

If need to update Samples upload files, please follow attached Readme.txt file to download Samples data sets.
