    I am working with a c# / .net framework app ( client ) and have tried to activate tracing using the above keyword in the app.config file.  I have made sure I have a mqtrace.config file at the target and all directories exist.  However, nothing ever gets traced...  Am I missing something???

    Hi,

    Which framework are you using:

    • IBM MQ classes for .NET Framework is for .NET Framework
    • IBM MQ classes for .NET Standard is for .NET Core (aka .NET)

    Did you read this page on tracing?

    Roger,

     

    Yes, have read that page and I believe I have done everything correctly...

     

    .NET Framework 4.8 .....   Don't have any issues with the code as it works at customers site.  My only problem is turning on this tracing for my development environment.

     

    Since IBM is providing a DEV version for MQ, I thought it would be nice to have a queue mgr here that I could ping against when writing/testing code.   My desire for the tracing comes from having issues getting a SSL connection thru a channel setup correctly....  Not a strong subject for me...

     

    My hope is with the tracing info, I can better understand what is configured wrong and correct..

    Not sure what I did, but I have tracing....  The only thing I can think of is that I uninstalled the MQ package off of my DEV machine..
