    Good morning

We are currently in the process of changing our client applications form using a connectionnamelist to using a CCDT.  As we have many applications we are looking into hosting the CCDT on a webserver and using the MQCCDTURL option.

The Knowledge center states "The default caching behavior of IBM MQ clients is that a CCDT file is only pulled down if the file modification time is different from the last time that it was retrieved" which is fine, but what happens if the URL is unavailable?

Does the application continue with the local copy it last used?
Will the app hang for a couple of minutes and wait for some sort of network timeout before continuing?

Any pointers would be appreciated.  We could make the webserver hosting the CCDT highly available but this may be a bit of overkill if it is not really needed.

    Thanks

    John

Your application will see error if the URL is not available on the next connection when the applications tries to connect. If the connection exists, then if the URL is not available, it won't be a problem.
